field) located in Hanmer_Springs New Zealand. Small and friendly -
relax in the great hot pools in Hanmer at the end of the day.

Locally, there are many adventure
tourism activities on offer. Quad bike trips, bungy jumping, jet-boat rides,
fishing, hunting, whitewater rafting, kayaking, the list goes on. There is a
small ski-field in the mountains at back of the town. Another, much larger, is
an hours drive away. There is a surprising array of high quality accommodation,
from hotel to motels. In addition, there are several motor camps, with cabins,
campervan parking, and tent sites. The town enjoys a huge tourist volume, with
more visitors to the thermal pools than to Mt Cook, Milford sound, or the
Waitomo Caves! Predominantly domestic visitors, but international guests are on
