Te Kinga, Iveagh Bay

From Christchurch

1.) Leaving Christchurch, travel WEST via the Arthurs Pass road (State Highway 73).

2.) From the summit of Arthurs Pass, the descent into the West Coast takes you through Otira, and after approx. 20 minutes you will reach the old Jackson's Tavern. Turn RIGHT approx 1km past the tavern, sign-posted Tourist Drive - Lake Brunner. Set your "Trip Meter" at this turnoff...

3.) After 5.4 km you will reach a "T" intersection, turn RIGHT towards Moana/Greymouth as per the signposts. Follow the main road on past Lake Poerua, through Rotomanu. 

4.) After total of 18.6 kms, there is another "T" intersection, Turn LEFT towards Moana/Greymouth as per the signposts, traveling down Lake Brunner Road.

5.) Approx 10kms later you will catch your first glimpse of Lake Brunner from the top of a rise. Be prepared to turn left onto Cashmere Bay Road.  

6.) Follow this across the Crooked River bridge, ours is the 3rd of the older houses in the series of 4, about 200 metres before the lake is reached - as per photo. 

  

From Greymouth

1.) Travel north via the inland route up the east side of the Grey River through Dobson and Brunner.

2.) At Stillwater, approx. 18kms from Greymouth, turn right.

3.) After 24kms you will reach Moana, continue through and 5kms later you will see the Cashmere Bay road turnoff to Te Kinga and Iveagh Bay. 

3.) Follow this across the Crooked River bridge, ours is the 3rd of the older houses in the series of 4, about 200 metres before the lake is reached - as per photo. 

Lake Brunner Country Motels are located on the north-eastern side of Lake Brunner, 205 kilometres  from Christchurch International Airport via State Highway 73. Directions are also provided from Greymouth, population 10,000, the nearest town.

From Christchurch

1.) Leaving Christchurch, travel WEST via the Arthurs Pass road (State Highway 73).

2.) From the summit of Arthurs Pass, the descent into the West Coast takes you through Otira, and after approx. 20 minutes you will reach the Jackson's Tavern. Turn RIGHT approx 1km past the tavern, sign-posted Lake Brunner/Rotomanu/Moana. Set your "Trip Meter" at this turnoff...

3.) After 5.4 km you will reach a "T" intersection, turn RIGHT towards Moana/Greymouth as per the signposts. Follow the main road on past Lake Poerua, through Rotomanu. 

4.) After total of 18.6 kms, there is another "T" intersection, clearly signposted LEFT towards Moana/Greymouth as per signposts.

5.) At total of 32.6 kms you will reach Moana - continue past he township 2 kms and you will see the Lake Brunner country Motels signposted to the LEFT.

From Greymouth

1.) Travel north via the inland route up the east side of the Grey River through Dobson and Brunner.

2.) At Stillwater, approx. 18kms from Greymouth, turn RIGHT towards Moana, a further 24 kms.

3.) At approx 22kms, just before Moana, the motels are signposted and located on your RIGHT.
